Late Work Policy
I will accept late work up until a week after the original due date. I will mark the work down by a letter grade each day that it is late, unless provided with evidence of an excused absence. Then the student will receive one extra day.
All work for a unit must be turned in on the last day of the unit. There is no work accepted once a unit has been complete. No exceptions.
Absolutely all late work must be turned two days before the due date for official grades. This includes progress reports as well as report cards. For example, if grades are due from teachers on a Friday, absolutely NO work can be turned in after the Wednesday of that same week. Even if this is due to an excused absence. Students with an excused absence can still turn in their work if it is a progress report, but this new grade will not be reflected on the report card that is sent home.
As with everything else, if you have a special need or you know you are going to be absent ahead of time please come see me and make arrangements.

Classroom Procedures
Right now my classroom procedures are run around the theme of card suits from a hand of playing cards. Each seat is labeled with a certain playing card from the deck, and students are grouped together by card suits (diamonds, spades, hearts, and clubs). Each card in the straight has a responsibility, and these are posted throughout the room. If you would like to check out a list of these specific procedures click below:a
